Mee Hiris China Muslim Restaurant began its journey in 2019 in Senawang, quickly gaining a reputation for its high-quality dishes that blend diverse flavors with authentic traditional Chinese Muslim cuisine. Today, the restaurant has grown to 29 branches and is planning to expand to 40 branches by 2024.
The authentic flavour from ShanXi Datong, China, where ancient tradition meets modern life, features the extraordinary culinary heritage of Chinese Muslims known as Mee Hiris. It stands as a testament to the rich traditions of the Muslim community in China, especially the Hui people. The thinly sliced and delicate noodles have unique preparation and presentation techniques that have become a hallmark of this dish. Spices, ingredients, and cooking methods have traversed continents, influencing food culture in China.
Although rooted in tradition, Mee Hiris has also embraced modern culinary innovations. Contemporary chefs experiment with new ingredients and techniques, offering fresh interpretations of this classic dish. Modern versions include innovative garnishes, flavour combinations that blend diverse influences, or “vegetarian” versions, reflecting the evolving global tastes and preferences. |
